. FIRST…
Instrument you played: only the bass
Album you bought: Kiss - Destroyer
Concert you've been: I think it was Overdose. But the first big concert I don't remember
Sepultura concert you played: Was at the Ideal Clube, in Santa Teresa, BH. If I'm not wrong it was 30.Mar.1985.
Sepultura international concert: It was in Vienna, Austria, 1989. It was a very nice concert. Everyone was a little afraid and nervous. We were worried about playing on a daily basis, cause we had never done that, but after a week playing every day we discovered that is better then playing just in the weekends or when there's an opportunity. It was very nice, and it was unforgettable cause was the first show of the career outside Brazil, and we were very excited about playing outside Brazil for the first time.

. BEST…
Sepultura Concert: It's hard to answer, the major part of the concerts were good. But something special was this first concert outside Brazil, other one was in 1992 with Black Sabbath in the Sabbath reunion, Rock in Rio, Hollywood Rock. But at this moment, the Brazilian Tour. Finally it's happening!! Good expectations for the up coming shows!!!
Tour: All of them was cool, it's hard to pick one. The first one was good cause we were outside Brazil for the first time, and all the mess. Although the bad relation with Max in the end of 1996, this last Roots tour was very important, cause we were playing more songs and was pretty cool. The tour with Pantera was cool, the tour with Ozzy was very cool, the tour with Ministry was cool, a lot of them were nice.
Bands you toured with: We played with a lot of people, Pantera, Biohazard, everyone was cool. The Ozzy people, Helmet, so many people I can't remember now, Clutch, Sick of it All, Napalm Death, Sacred Reich. The major part of the bands the guys are very cool, we always had a good relation with all bands.

. WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO TOUR WITH?
With my idols.

. WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK IN STUDIO WITH?
We've been working for the past few years with Stanley Soares, which is also our live engineer. This way really has been working not only because the friendship, but our professional levels as well. And I don't think we should change a winning TEAM!!!

. WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST EMOTION YOU HAD IN THE WHOLE CAREER?
Too many things. It's important to remember the day we signed with a world-wide record company. The day we did the first gig outside Brazil. The day we played with Sabbath, which was their first reunion with the original line up after so long time. The free concert at the Charles Muller Square with almost 40.000 people is important too. Musicians that you've always love since 13, 14 years old comes to you nowadays and talks same level with you and respect what you do, and compliment your work, that's also part of the career.
For the latest I can add to this is when Andreas & I, along with the boys from Paralamas do Sucesso, came to Stewart Copeland's dressing room in the Maracanã Stadium in Rio before the gig. He started to talk about SEPULTURA saying that he has all the SEPUL records and said as well, that we are one of the most creative Metal bands that he ever known. That's was special!!! And we have witnesses and one of his sons was filming everything!!! Hope we can get that to use on the documentary celebrating our 25th anniversary!!!!

. WHAT OCCASION SHOULD ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED?
There's a lot too. The thing we've done with Xavantes we'll always remember cause was very different. The thing we've done with KODO now will be marked cause was very different. What we done with Jason we'll be marked too, he wanted to do something with us for a long time cause he always liked the band, and there's lot of things.
Adding lately, I must say that the trip to South Africa & INDIA were something to remember. Amazing places!!! Amazing people!!! Can't forget as Well, on the last tour, the places that we visited for the first time!!! All great!!!

. INFLUENCES IN EACH ALBUM:
In the beginning it was more Death Metal, Venom, and each record the thing was getting big. Nowadays, even Falcão is acceptable as an influence. The thing is more open. But it's logical that a few years ago things were more Metal, but we were always listening other music styles and learning, and being influenced by other things too.
At latest, A Clockwork Orange will be the main inspiration along with all that is being surrounding us as influences to come with a KILLER record for all of us!!!

. HOW DO YOU CREATE THE SONGS?
Usually the musical part happens at rehearse, jamming, the ideas start appearing, we record in some tape, listen to it, change a bit. What is usable we use it, what is not we throw away. There's no secret, it's just jam. In the Against album we recorded lots of things in rehearsals, we changed a lot, done lots of demos to test all the options we had by that time to get to the conclusions we had. But it's all jamming.
For this new process with Jean is been different and great!!! He been jamming and recording everything. Then we will start to listen what we have and build from there!!! It's been very nice!!!

. HOW DID YOU MEET AND JOIN THE BAND?
It was around, if I'm not wrong, 17.Aug.1984. Max and Igor, in Santa Teresa near my house, used to happen a hippie fair/ flea market in a square where people used to meet, to hang out. We had a common friend, and with this friend we started to hang out together and later I joined the band.
